Hello All.
This is my first post and I am not sure how its going to come out. But here it goes!

Anyway...How did I get here...to  Bellevue Public Schools..I think that was the first assignment.

The reason I decided to attend UNL was to be an architect.  After 2 years in the pre-architecture program and one year of studies after being accepted into the program, I decided to enroll in Teachers' College and become a 'shop teacher'.

I graduated in 1984 and at the time I was making more money working part-time for UPS than I would have been working full time as a teacher!  So I stayed at UPS..for awhile.  I eventually met my mentor, Dr. Edmunds who got me through my Master's degree in 1994.  I stayed at UNL Teachers' College as a GA for a couple years then accepted a job at Westside HS.  After 3 years I returned to UNL as an Instructor for one year then accepted the position here at Bellevue East in 1999.

During my career I have taught Applied Physics, Welding, Automotive Technology, Woods, CAD, Cisco Networking and at Westside I taught an IndTech course at their Alternative High School.  I have been instructed in the ways of Madeline Hunter and Boys Town Social Skills, twice.  Currently at East I teach all the CAD courses, an Intro to Skills and Technical Sciences(STS)-this is what we call ourselves now-and the Power Drive class.  Power Drive is an OPPD sponsored 'engineering technology' program where high school students design + build + race a 24volt electric car every year.   Alot of work. Sometimes we have good years, sometimes not so good.  Kind of like coaching!!!

Thats about it for now. I will add more later.

By the way .....on a technical note ....I have been looking for a template...and I could use some help with that. It is called a rounders 3 template. One center column and 2 smaller columns to the left and right.  That is going to one of my goals with this blog ...to get a rounders3 template.
